me and my friend were watching tv when a cialis commercial came on with the warning to see a doc if your erection lasts 4 hours. what would happen to you penis if it did last that long?

From reading online when you get erect capillaries connecting the arteries and veins in your penis, can't stand the pressure of all the blood and they could burst. Then leaving penis damage... I always wondered the same thing what would happen...

My friends and I were talking about this at lunch, and someone said that a guy came into a hospital with an erection after 4 days and it was so deoxygenated that they had to amputate his penis, so yeah. But that was four days.

It will affect the tissues and blood vessels going to the penis. It may have to be drained in the emergency department.

Yes, since blood will then not be allowed to flow correctly through the penis then it would become deoxygenated and thus it would result in the erectile tissue dying because there is not oxygen coming to it.
