So last night I went to see Rise Against and A Day to Remember. It was an amazing show and I had an absolutely fantastic time. I could not have thought of a better way of spending my 18th birthday!

Post here about any concert experience you've had.

Last February I got to see my favorite band Bright Eyes. My brother took me as a birthday present, and I got to bring two friends along with me too. The show was at Radio City Music Hall, which was pretty cool. I've been a massive Bright Eyes fan since I was 8 years old, so it goes without saying that I waited a very long time to see them. One of the best birthday gifts I ever got, it was a surprise too :P

This is from the show I was at, my favorite song, which he generally doesn't ever play live:

I've had a bunch of amazing concert experiences. The obvious choice as the most amazing would be when I flew from Phoenix, Arizona to Dublin, Ireland last summer for 2 front row Bon Jovi concerts, which happened to be my 4th and 5th time seeing Bon Jovi. The shows were nothing short of incredible, full of rare songs and everything. I brought my guitar with me to Ireland and ended up getting to meet Jon Bon Jovi, and he signed my guitar for me. Words cannot express...

Nightwish (x3 in September), Blue October x2, The Airborne Toxic Event x2, Emilie Autumn x3, Imogen Heap x2, HIM, The Dresden Dolls, Epica, The Birthday Massacre, 100 Monkeys.

I think I got them all...

Nightwish was great because they were my first-ever concert. Then the first show I saw of TATE, a bit before they got popular. I won tickets through a contest and met Anna, Steven, and Mikel. Emilie Autumn gets the prize though, best concert you could ever go to. I did the VIP two of the three times and she's so sweet I'd actually go only for the VIP if that was all that was offered. :P I met Imogen the second concert I went to, then I hugged Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman (one of my two favourite authors to make that night even more perfect, thank you two for falling in love) after the Dresden Dolls concert.

I remember at the first Blue October concert I went to someone got just completely bladdered and was brought out to an ambulance on a stretcher. o.O So that one was rather memorable.

Mind if I say that I hate you? :P

I saw Evanescence back in February. It was great because my parents didn't know I was going and it was on a school night, so the high of getting away with it all added to the experience. I was pressed up against the crowd barrier and Amy looked me right in the eye. One of the best nights of my life

I recently got to see Say Anything live, which has been my favorite band for quite a while. I got free tickets, since the drummer is my health coach and we talk sometimes. I got to meet him and it was awesome, even though I was super awkward haha. They were awesome, and it was easily one of my favorite concerts.

This is from the night I went. I was kinda bummed I couldn't get to the front, but it was still super awesome!

Another amazing show was Brandi Carlile. She puts on an amazing concert. Her voice, the music, the instruments... All unbelievable. I saw her two years ago now, and I'll never forget it. Her voice live was incredible, it sounded just like the recordings, but it was more appealing in a sense that I was right there listening to it.

Here is a recording from a live album she put out, just to get a taste of what she's like live:

As much as I'm absolutely in love with music, I've actually only been to a gig once in my life and that was February 14 this year. Uh, it was Jordan Ireland, one of the singers of the Middle East, and also Tiny Ruins and Holly Throsby. I didn't stick around for Throsby but the other two, who were her support acts, were fantastic.

Bad quality, but Jordan:

So I went to see if there were any videos from Friday, found one of when Jeremy went in the hamster ball, which was also when I crowd surfed. (@1:10)

OP Bump, so it's cool guys.

Just got back from The Dear Hunter/Anthony Green show. It was a small venue, maybe 200 people, if that. It was an amazing show. I went for The Dear Hunter. In my mind, Anthony Green was just something more to listen to afterwards. To me, The Dear Hunter had a much better setlist and music in general. Sadly, they were less known that Anthony, so only a few fans knew their stuff before the show.

Anthony Green was interesting. I had never listened to any of his work before, so I was completely unsure what to expect. Mike had told me that he was amazing, so I went in their with an open mind, unlike what I tend to do with most artists/bands recently. I can't say he was bad, because he was pretty good; but, he wasn't good enough to be the headliner. I think that The Dear Hunter, who actually doubled as Anthony's band, did a much better job in every aspect of music. Anthony was good, yes, but The Dear Hunter was better.

After the show, I walked around with my two friends, Megan and Gavin. We were trying to get to talk to Casey Crescenzo, the singer/guitarist/songwriter/frontman of The Dear Hunter. We walked around for about 10 minutes, until eventually we said fuck it. We then found the guitarist, Connor Doyle, tearing down some of his gear. We contemplated approaching him for a minute, unsure how he'd react, but we decided to go for it. Gavin and I ended up talking to him for what seemed like 10 minutes. It was a good conversation, found it funny how both of our names were Connor, and how we both started guitar around the same age. He even let me and Gavin play one of his guitars for a few minutes before he put it away. Connor was a really chill dude and was glad to see us come out for TDH. Also, Casey did walk by as we were talking to Connor, I got to shake his hand, and praise him for a few seconds, but sadly, his voice was so shot he couldn't speak. You could tell he gave it his all during this show, and probably every show. I was going to ask for a picture, but figured I'd be asking to much.

If I have one regret from tonight, it's not getting a picture with Casey or Connor. Seriously, two chill as fuck dudes that just love playing music.
