Well. All-time I say Nightwish as I've liked them for five years now, and they were my gateway band to "darker" music. Well, sort of.

The Dresden Dolls are the only reason that choice is contested, and while I've liked them for a good period of time, they are a much more recent obsession than Nightwish.

It's just loyalty why I say Nightwish though. Eventually I'll crack and say a different band. Five years is hard for me to beat though. My taste evolves so quickly. Actually longest would be Garbage as my dad played Version 2.0 in the car one time on a backpacking trip. At the least, it's been a good ten years and I still like them.

I listen to different kinds of bands and, depending on my mood, my favorite band at that current moment changes like the wind. I wouldn't say my music taste is extremely varied or anything, but it ranges from the likes of Bon Iver to Alter Bridge to Combichrist or Aesthetic Perfection to Slayer.

My absolute all time favorite band since forever and ever is definitely HIM.
