She turns 13 today, and he came home all cheerful, proclaiming, "I got 55 birthday wishes today!" She loudly talks about what a GREAT effing day she had, and then goes to the bathroom.

Well, her computer was open and she was chatting with a group of facebook friends. I, jokingly, get on and chat with her friends. At first, they think its her and they say "Happy birthday."

She comes out and freaking screams at me for it. She's crying about how, "They said happy birthday to you, NOT ME!!"

How effing conceited can she get? On my birthday, NO ONE remembered and I got around 10 to 20 birthday wishes total for the entire day at school, and it was only because a few teachers decided to announce it to the class. I didn't bitch about it like she is. And it isn't like they were ACTUALLY telling ME happy birthday. They thought I was her! What, she doesn't think that counts to her FIFTY-FIVE number total?

God, it sounds so fucking stupid, doesn't it? But it really irks me! How DARE she act like this when my birthday was like a day from Hell?

I think she was just excited that it was her special day. Yeah, I understand where you are coming from, but she is obviously excited..it's her birthday, let it slide.

I think you should just bear with it until she cools down. She may just be worked up. I know how you feel, though. My little brother acted the same stupid way. I don't even care about my birthday. I try to ignore it. But yeah, just let her calm down again.
