I agree about the entries this year. Usually the top 10 is really strong, but I can only think of 5 or 6 that are truly good. But I'm not complaining because I want it to be in my country next year and we have a great entry!!

Oh god no, not after Blue last year. -.-
It was so bad I think I might just skip it and save myself the pain of having to listen to all that crappy pop shit all over again -.-

haha the UK has had some pretty bad entries recently. This year, I like their entry but its not really classic eurovision. Its like a love song, but very nice
I like happy upbeat music so thats why I love ESC so much. If you're not into pop, Its def not for you.

I don't actually. I just boast Finland and forget about the contest. Though they've only won once.

Maybe if they had that every show... if not only for the costumes.

Its a huge song contest/festival where (almost) all the European countries send a song to represent them. Its like a European song Olympics. A few middle eastern countries participate too, kinda random. The country that wins each year, hosts the contest in their country the next year. Its usually a huge economic boost for the winners.
I like it because the music is fun and I like seeing the cultural influence in many of the songs.
To win the contest all the countries vote and send up to 12 points to their favorite. Public phone votes are also considered. The biggest names to win the contest are ABBA and Celine Dion. I'm sure most people recognize those names!

I watch it every year, hell in 2 years I'm thinking of representing the UK. Did you hear Albania's singer Rona Nishliu, her song is good but it's quite a ring in your ear

I cannot say I like eurovision... The majority of the songs are crappy. And I didn't like Sweden's song either. It was like a classic pop song. I like pop, but this song didn't deserve to win, in my opinion...
Still, they want us to think that eurovision is a song contest. Basically, each country votes it's "best buddy". Like, Belarus votes Russia, Greece and Cyprus vote each other every year, Turkey and Azerbaijan vote each other again, the remaining countries of the Former Soviet Union vote each other, and there is NO song contest like that... And that's why I dislike eurovision!

This year I liked Cyprus and Greece's Entries coz they were good and they are fit. I like a bit Ivi and Eleftheria :q I supported Ελλενίκα (I'm guessing that means Greece or something) and Κυπροσ (Cyprus)
