I am overweight but I exercise a lot. I don't know what is happening I think I'm gaining weight. I play basketball about 1-1/2 hrs a day. I am also eating healthier then I did when I was younger. I just am not sure what I'm doing wrong, I just want to be a bit lighter :/.

May I ask how long you've been exercising like this?

Like what evil.angel asked, how long have you been exercising like that?

Nonetheless, with how often you play basketball and are eating a healthy diet, I would assume that you are gaining muscle. Muscle is much more dense than fat. Don't get me wrong, fat and muscle weigh the same. But you are probably developing lean muscle. With lean muscle, you are likely to not see any changes on the scale. But with lean muscle you are a lot more toned and look "thinner" despite probably not seeing any change when you step up on the scale; in other words, you will probably see a big change in how your clothes fit you.

Just keep sticking with your regime (I would also suggest a lot of cardiovascular exercises like jogging too, but I bet you do a lot of that in basketball). (: Just don't over-work yourself, you don't want to injure yourself!

Best of luck! (:

if you'r not losing weight it's because you still don't use more energy then you eat.
it's that simple that you need to gain less energy then you spend.

and ofc you might have gained some muscle but i highly doubt you would be gaining it in the same phase as your losing fat.

you can always check how much energy you eat/day and estimate how much energy you spend/day and there you got the answer if you're eating to much.
