Just like when people are lying they have a tell whether it may be tapping of the fingers or a grin or even the looking down and to the left
What songs tell your friends/family what mood you're in?

When I am listening to P!nk, they know not to fucking talk to me, or else I'll burst in tears.

Only a few people know what mood I truly am in if I'm listening to Survive by Rise Against.

Hmm.
If my mood is directly related to the music I'm listening (which often it isn't as that's not how I operate) then I have a few ideas.
Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails are my rebellion bands. Nothing like blasting The Downward Spiral or Holy Wood at full volume with the windows down on a Sunday morning.
HIM of course is way too much romance unless I'm currently single. So forever alone type mood there.
Emilie Autumn and The Dresden Dolls would therefore be for when I'm feeling particularly insane or unstable. AKA, one wrong move and I'll be eating gruel for two weeks, falling asleep on uncomfortable chairs during group therapy.
*shrug* I don't know. Like I said, I don't really listen to music because of how I'm feeling in the moment. It's more like what type of music I'm "craving." Just like you would decide "What do I want to eat for dinner tonight?"

My family aren't usually around me when I listen to music. Uh... I think they should know by now that when I have on dreamier, atmospheric tracks, or slow music, I want to space out, and when I put on music that's explosive but not necessarily sad or angry (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-KgDb30onc) then I might be in a bit of a down mood.

It's not really so much WHAT I'm listening to, but whether I have my headphones in or not. If I'm just playing my music freely off the laptop then nothing's wrong. But if I have my headphones in, I usually want to be left alone or not bothered too much. Which is most the time.
