Since last year, I've known I was bisexual. For 6 months, I kept it completely under wraps. I never told a soul. I told my best friend first. She helped me cope with it.
So I slowly started revealing it to friends. Right now, at least 10 people know. And they have all accepted me. It's quite shocking, really. I expected SOMEONE to judge me mercilessly..
Anyway.
I have a question-
A. Do you think it is a wise decision to come out to the school?
B. The above question, replacing school with parents.
I thank you for any answer. :)

A. You live in Kentucky. Noooooooooooooooo!
B. I don't know your parents, but if they love you, they'll accept you.

A. Is that a bad thing?
B. I'm just..worried, y'know? My mom's completely supportive of everything I do..but..BLAGH.

Honestly, it depends on your school. You've already told your good friends. Chances are, if everyone knows, there will be problems, sadly. If you feel you're okay with a few idiots judging you, then go ahead.
I would tell your parents first though. If they love and support you, they'll be accepting.

A. Is that a bad thing?
In many cases, yes.
I agree with StoppingTime, parents first.

I suppose I'm used to idiots judging me..but I will be telling my parents first. Thank you. :)

Instead of coming out to people individually I just picked a couple of my best friends, told them, then picked the biggest mouth in school and told her, which meant it spread really quickly. Being a very straight acting guy (athletic competitive mechanic type guy) two of my good friends never spoke to me since, one guy friend (who I really liked) turned around and said he was curious (we got together for about a year and a half), and the rest were like "meh."
Unfortunately my parents found my computer history (Bi and Gayporn included) and I had no choice but to "come out." Hopefully there's something in here you find useful. Message me if you want to talk.
