Ok, when I lined up after recess today, I noticed a girl in the line to the right of me looked really pregnant. she had the face, arms and legs of a girl who is skinny but she seemed to have a large belly bump. please note i'm in 6th grade. Is this for real or could it just be a disorder that the girl has?

I highly, highly doubt she is pregnant, and most girls (don't yell at me, I don't know the exact statistic) have not reached that point in puberty yet.

The youngest girl to become pregnant and give birth in recent history, was a 10 year old Chinese girl so the possibility is there. But I would seriously doubt that to be the case, unless she gets bigger over then next few months.

Umm, not necessarily true. My doctor said a lot of girls are getting their periods earlier than they used to 50 or 100 years ago...

I personally got mine when I was just 8 years old. Besides traumatizing me... It also made me really moody and emotional and I hated it. I was on bc at like age 9 to keep it under control :/

The point being, once we have our periods, we are technically capable of carrying a baby - but it's definitely not healthy to do so at such a young age when we are still growing, etc.

Do you know why girls like yourself are having your periods at such a early age? Im curious now.

Youngest mother:

Age 5
1939: Lina Medina of Paurange, Peru gave birth to a 2.7 kg son (5.9 lb), Gerardo, by caesarean section on Mother's Day, May 14, 1939 in Lima at the age of 5 years, 7 months and 21 days. Her parents, who assumed their daughter had a tumour, took her to a hospital, where she was determined to be seven months pregnant. Although Medina's father was arrested on suspicion of child molesting, he was later released due to lack of evidence, and the identity of who impregnated Medina was never uncovered.

OK, guys, instead of arguing over the biological probability of her being pregnant, let's look at the biological probability of the other options.

When people are really starving, their stomachs can become bloated, as in this picture (http://haveyoureadthebible.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/starvation1.jpg) (see the big bellies?)
However, this is only present in pretty extreme cases. I do know of some diseases that can cause this kind of body shape, so it's not out of the question. I guess the only way to find out is to ask, just try to be delicate about it.
