View Full Version : Do other parents do this?

My parents have done some pretty weird things. They often watch more adult movies with me, stuff including things such as Animal House. The other day my mom even said to me "don't wear your shorts. Everything bulges out," telling me how she notices. Is this normal? Does anyone else have parents who do or say things like this?

My parents forced me to watch movies about teen pregnancy when I was really little, and try to expose me to as much sex in the movies as possible. It really pisses me off for two reasons. One, now fucking stupid do they think I am? Two, it all makes my flashbacks worse.
They used to complain about me wearing tight or revealing clothes, but now I just don't do that anymore, no matter how hot it is.

everyone is different in all aspects, including the way they think; that includes your parents. If it bothers you or makes you feel uncomfortable, let them know. If they continue after that then you may have a problem.
When it comes to your mom telling you about your "bulge," is she joking around? I know that is common for parents to joke around with their kids about puberty and other aspects of growing up; and the same applies to our peers, especially with voice cracks.

It hasn't been against my will with the movies, it just feels kind of awkward to watch those types of movies with your parents. As with the pants, I was going to work and asked her what I should wear. She responded with that, and told me to wear other shorts. My dad didn't even realize what she was talking about until he asked what she meant and she said "He's a man now, Abba (what I call my dad)". Our families pretty open talking about things like that, so maybe it's just my family, but it still felt kind of weird.

My mom has seen me in my boxer-briefs recently, so I'm sure she's noticed that I am not a little boy down there anymore. But luckily she's never said anything about certain things "bulging".
However, she did give me the talk about being "responsible" if I got a girlfriend. Boy, was that awkward. I told her I wasn't fooling around with any girls (which is the truth). Wait until she finds out why, LoL. :what:

Not really, mom had her phase when she was my age so a lot of what she talks about is through her own experience. Plus we watch the paternity test episode of the Maury show, but I think that's primarily for the entertainment. My mom is pretty cool. My grandma however is a up tight southern christian woman, I'm a Christian too, but you get where I'm coming from here. I'm glad I don't live near her anymore, I couldn't take a dump without being accused of "fornicating".

My parents always crack practical jokes etc leaving condoms (not used) in strange places where you least expect to find them etc. They've always been very open discussing anything sexual, we're more friends that parent and son relationship. I suppose some parents kind of shock/embarass their kids in puberty by raising certain things or noticing others. I think if you're uncomfortable with them highlighting certain aspects then just sit them down and ask them not to highlight it anymore, any parent after being told that would undrstand you are uncomfortable with that aspect of yourself and will "lay off."
