View Full Version : Are you scared?

Are you scared of the end of the world?

Honestly, I used to be terrified, but now that I've lost my desire to live, I couldn't care less. However, I do feel very very bad for the animals and innocent children involved. I mean, I use to cry because the lizards and roly-polys didn't have anywhere to go durring hurricane season and they all got killed. I don't care if I die, I just wish I could save those who's lives had just begun. (btw, this isn't a discussion on when the world is going to end, or if it is. It's clearly asking if your scared of it or not. None of the whole planets comming together and this rapture shit.)

Nope.Probably better question would be, are you scared of dying?

Anyway, i wouldn't feel bad either. And again, just my opinion, but i do feel that world got really fcked up, and there should be do-over, sometime. But who knows, even if it happens, people might be gone of this planet already, and living on some other.

See if the world was to end? Chances are I would barely feel the death that would come and follow me. Therefore I am not scared.

Also even if it was some kind of Apocalypse I would be prepared to die because nearly everyone would be the same.

Are you scared of the end of the world?

No. It's easier to accept that we'll all eventually meet our own end and that the end of the world is the same thing as each individual death.

Not scared. Like you, I feel bad for the innocents, but me? I deserve to die. I want to die.

I have swings and times in my life when I get so unbelievably depressed that I want to die a painful death, but right now things are shaping up. Regardless, I don't fear death all that much but I can see how scary it is, the concept of leaving the earth and unless you've made some kind of impact people will forget who you are. Now that, that's scary.

I'm not scared because I'm ready (Religion wise). Now if we were in a Zombie Apocalypse, I'm Ready to Kill some Zombie butt. I have seen Zombieland and The Walking Dead, so I should be an expert,lol...but for the world ending, from what the Bible says, Im ready so Im not scared about it.

I'm not scared. I would be sad if it happened, but if I was scared of the world ending, which is a remote possibility, then there are so many other things to be scared of too. Best to not let fear control me (although it sort of does :S )

I don't really see the sense in worrying about it. We all die one day, is that such a bad thing? It's inevitable anyways. If the world ends tomorrow, so be it, I'll enjoy the simple pleasures here while they're around and keep in mind the things that really matter.

I wouldn't kill myself, but I don't fear death. Basically, if the opportunity aroused, I wouldn't hide it. I wouldn't create one though

Kinda a lame question.. :/

I think if its the end of the world, being scared wouldn't really matter much.. And it'd be just a little pointless.. It's all gonna end some time, in some way..

I am not really. Sure if it's during our life-time, I'll probably have some regrets, but then again, I would with just a normal death. No way though am I going to lose sleep over conspiracies of it happening.

No. I am not. This is because of my religion and me knowing what will happen after death.

'Ramblings of the wise'

I hate to burst your bubble, but the end of the world won't happen for another 5 billion years, so you'll be long dead by then.

The end of the world is not happening in 2012 if that's what you're thinking, that was just a stupid scripture that some retard person made up hundreds or thousands of years ago before leap days (29th february) existed. So if you include the leap days to their workings, the end of the world would have happened already and it clearly hasn't. -.-

May 11th, 2012, 07:42 PM
I am not scared because I have done a ton of research and I find that it is complete and total BS! One point that I love is that the mayens (spelling?) never accounted for leap year, so the end of the world that they predicted would have happened ofer 2 years ago be ause of leap year......so the 2012 apocalypse is disproven with one statement. Also the guy who started this whole thing also started all the buzz for the 2000 computer crash.....and look, that didn't happen

Jess
May 11th, 2012, 07:43 PM
No. I have more things to worry about and be scared of than the end of the world, which as plebble said won't happen for another several billion years.

I agree with you, I only feel bad for the babies who are just born; and haven't gotten the chance to live yet. Honestly, this world is going to go down eventually; and when it does it's going to go down hard. I was scared shitless last year; until I knew that I had lived my life unlike some others. But to the original question, am I scared? Yeah, sort of.

No because its all bullshit, but in the year 2029, it is said that an asteroid the size of Texas is suppose to pass the earth barley but scientists are afraid because that day it will be so close to our atmosphere that it can accidentally be sucked in into our atmosphere and hit us.

I don't believe in the world ending, and therefore I am not scared. I think all the rumors and all that is a load of rubbish. They always say the world is going to end but it never does. How would it end any way? That's always puzzled me.

I'm not scared at all. I don't believe anyone alive today would have to worry about an apocalypse being the cause of their demise. But, no, I'm not scared. I used to be terrified of death but it fascinates me now, well, the after part , anyways. But, babies, children, and aniimals....I would be terribly sad about the world ending for them. :(

I honestly don't care. Hopefully when it happens (it probably won't until a large rock hit's the earth, some retard develops AI that is too smart, or the universe slows down and gets cold.) it will be quick. When the world ends, ultimately there is nothing that I can do, and when it happens it'll be too late. Cherish life, when you're dead you're dead, and you won't even know it (best part about death XD).

Why be scared? One day the world will end. we need to embrace it. It's going to happen. we can't stop it. There is possibly the chance of a whole new world being born afterwords and they should live in the legacy.
And for all you psychotics out there, the world isn't ending in 2012...God wouldn't want us to kjnow when it will end. He's not living by human predictions.

In The End, it doesn't even matter - Linkin Park

As long as I get to see it coming so I can do an epic death pose.

And also it isn't going to end anyway.

A scribe's notations predict planetary movements beyond 2012 - way beyond.

Though anyone who believes that the Maya have accurately foretold the end of the world are unlikely to be swayed, new evidence has been uncovered that suggests we have another 7,000 years ahead of us.

Working at Xultun, a site just 5 miles south of San Bartolo, Guatemala, archeologists have uncovered the unspoiled workroom of Maya scribes, National Geographic News' Erik Vance reports. The discovery of anything unspoiled at Xultun is miraculous in itself considering heavy looting decimated the site in the 1970s, but even more stunning is what archeologist Franco Rossi found under a 1,200-year-old layer of mud.

Despite nature's efforts to hide it, the Ph.D. student noticed traces of paint against the building's wall. When the mud was removed, Rossi and the team under excavation leader William Saturno found an extremely well-kept mural depicting several images. One image is of a scribe adorned with white disks who can be seen holding a brush in his hand. Another shows a king in an elaborate blue headdress.

The art is very interesting, but archeologists are more excited by calculation tables that the scribes working in the room scribbled onto the walls. One is a lunar table, charting the phases of the moon. The next is a "ring number," which were used by the Maya to "establish a base date for planetary cycles," according to the National Geographic article. Using these, the scribes wrote dates on the wall that coincide with these lunar and planetary schedules, calculating some 7,000 years into the future.

While it doesn't definitively prove when the Maya thought the world might end, the discovery casts further doubt on the already doubtful theory that the Maya accurately predicted the world would end this year. Let's just hope that 7,000 years from now there aren't people around thinking the world's going to end because this particular scribe didn't go any farther. Whether the world ends or not, there's one thing that we can take away from this for certain: Rossi's eagle eyes have given him an amazing dissertation.

Not really.

I try not to think about stuff like that. When I think about it, most stories say that the end of the world is fast for humans which I hope is true if I'm alive for the end of the world or the human race.

I rather have a quick death then a long drawn out death.

No, infact thinking of the end of the world makes me feel rather excited.. I mean if it really does end being alive at that time would be a pretty cool adventure while it lasts. Can you think of a more dramatic interesting way to die?

not saying I believe it will end in 2012 or whatever.

Being afraid of death is utter bullshit. I wouldn't care if someone told me "You will die in 5 seconds". I'd only be excited.

It's simply the end, you won't have any regrets for what you haven't done in your life after you die, so it's pointless to be afraid of death.

You said, and i quote: One day the world will end.

And then: And for all you psychotics out there, the world isn't ending in 2012...

Are you psychic?

You said world is gonna end ONE day, with which i agree. How can you know, that, said day, won't be today, or tomorrow?Or in 2012?If you're not psychic, it doesn't make sense. There might be a mayor earthquake(s) all over the earth, or so many other things, that you just CAN'T know.

Unless you're psychic, that is.

That's why, your post, doesn't make much sense IMO.And i won't bother quoting rest of the said post, which again, doesn't make much sense.
