First off I would say you need to go to StatCare...

But here is what you do.

Clean the affected area with warm water and soap

Then with some hydrogen peroxide and clean the wound as well (it will help reduce the bacterial growth)

Place Neosporin on the area and cover it with a bandage...

Leave the bandage off during the evenings to allow it to air out

If it starts to hurt, swell anymore, feel warm tot he touch you need to go and have a professional look at it. Infection is something that is not needed.

You need to see a doctor. White pus is not great but also not the worst because that means white blood cells are getting to the infection. Yellow is bordering on bad because it can turn green which means it's bacterial and in need of immediate attention. Infections left on their own can lead to blood poisoning.

If you cannot close the wound, I'd go straight to your closest emergency room, to be honest. Usually I'd advise using an antibiotic cream (such as Polysporin) but Robert has covered that but it can be difficult to do on your own and know if it's really getting better or not. Seeing a doctor is the better choice.

I cannot agree more with Jo, you need to see someone now...

It's not just a 'pathetic cut'. Size has nothing to do with severity. I've had to go to the doctor before because my cuticle was infected. That's tiny but still an infection. Even the smallest cuts can still become badly infected not because of size but because bacteria or dirt has gotten into the wound.

Okay, well, soak the cut in warm salt water if you can. When I say warm, I mean as warm as you can stand. If it's in a spot where that's not possible, take a wash cloth and soak it in warm salt water then apply it to the cut until it goes cool and keep doing this for about 20 minutes. That can help clean it. Also follow the instructions in Robert (Dimitri)'s post.

However, if it gets worse or does not appear to improve in about 48 hours, I would see a doctor ASAP.
