View Full Version : Why should I feel bad for those who commit suicide?

Recently there has been one thing that has come to my attention, the amount of homosexual teenagers that kill themselves. And the way everyone seems to think I am supposed to feel is sad. Sympathetic. But all I can think is part of the word-- pathetic. There's a common phrase, "survival of the fittest" which I find fits this occasion like a glove. Firstly, life, as most know, is incredibly unfair and these teenagers had better lives than a lot of people. Yet they were too stupid to understand it. And if they couldn't even take the little pressure they felt, "boohoo". I think they were simply weak, it may sound harsh but you know what they say, "the truth hurts" (doesn't mean you should ignore it). And I do not understand why I should feel bad that they killed themselves. Because everyone has hardships in life and the fact that they couldn't take something so minor is ridiculous.

Do you not feel sympathy for those people? It isn't "minor" bullying, it makes them cry and feel like they are utterly worthless. It isn't even worth it to debate with you since you seem to be a homophobe.

I really don't get where you're coming from, dude. From what it sounds like, you have no idea why people are depressed and commit suicide in the first place.

Are you kidding me? Did you think that this would go over well on a help site for teens who come to this place for that exact problem? If anything is pathetic it's you make that statement in such a place. If you have never been in that position then who are you to talk or judge? It's totally rash and out of line, in fact I don't think that this topic has it's place on a help site for people in that situation, regardless the section. If you'd like to carry out this discussion take it elsewhere because this site is not the place. :locked:
