no and i don't think there should be. i'm 100% for gay rights, but if there was an all-straight school that would be considered discrimination, so technically an all-gay school should also be considered discrimination.

ExhibitG is correct. As much as I would love it, it is considered discrimination, and would be shut down..

This makes sense, then I guess if not "all gay" but a strict "you have to be very accepting of gay people school" where a crapton of gay people go.

They probably don't exist, as thats like literally sending a straight male into a school with only females, and vice versa - FAR too many distractions. Therefore, I doubt there would be a school like that that exists

There actually is a school designed for LGBT students. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Milk_High_School

There are schools that are incredibly tolerant and accepting of the LGBT community. My school is like this. About 65% of the student population are LGBT. Some schools belong to programs where LGBT students bullied out of previous schools can go after they make up lost credits to graduate. These schools do exist, it's just not advertised. Personally, at my school, we don't make a huge deal that we're LGBT-accepting, we just are.

2 things:
1- When you write in a blinding blue, it really pisses off your readers and inclines them to discontinue reading. May I suggest the normal color?
2-An all gay school is an awful idea. Gay students would be totally unprepared for what the real world is like if they're accustomed to being with "their own kind" all the time. The culture shock of soaking in a totally accepting atmosphere and then being submerged into an environment that isn't universally accepting would likely have results far worse than if the student had been in a normal school with normal confrontations.
The opposite is also true. If you're going to start separating gays from others, you're causing a bigger rift in the social atmosphere than there already is. Think of how accepting of homosexuals straight people who never met one (that they know of) are? What if entire societies never met a gay person because they've all been sent to separate schools.
It's deleterious and foolish to create a gay-only or gay-specialized school.
This makes sense, then I guess if not "all gay" but a strict "you have to be very accepting of gay people school" where a crapton of gay people go.
An all gay school isn't discrimination just as an all boys school isn't sexist. Private entities are free to do as they like.
If it were a public school, the people of the area which is building the school would have to show overwhelming favor of building it which would be unlikely to happen because if everyone supported building it, gay people would be accepted in that society and it'd be pointless.

This is interesting, seems to be a small school though, but still its like a good idea for kids that age.
