I've been cutting for ages, deep, messy cuts, but I'm going on a family holiday soon and I'm worried mum&dad might see my cuts, I know I can't stop tho, but I just need someone to help me...please?

I know what you are going through. I know how hard this is going to be but try to bear with me.
1. Try to reduce the cutting. If you cut daily try to slowly cut less and less.
2. Once you are on a streak (no cutting for 4 or 5 days) dispose of the blades or what ever you use to cut.
3. Put lotion (Cocoa Butter or something with Vitamin E) on the scars. This should help heal the skin and not let it show as much.
4. Try to find another way to cope, I know it is hard but experiment with different things. (I blast music and do sit-ups)
I have been trying to stop as well. This really seems to help but sometimes I goof up and cut. When this happens you just need to get back on track and repeat the steps. Good Luck with everything. If you ever need to talk message me :)

xYz is right. You don't, and for that matter, shouldn't, stop in a day. That's why they call it a gealing process. Experiment with different coping methods.Blast music, go running, start a big project, anything to keep you busy. The family holiday will help too because you'll be forced to be with people, also a good thing to do.
I know this will be hard, but is there any way you could talk this out with someone? Maybe a school counselor? They are always a good place to start. They won't judge you, and don't even have to tell your parents.
Don't feel discouraged if you make mistakes, we all do. That's part of healing. You'll ge there, and we're always here to help you as well.
