I have known people to do this sort of thing and I find it a bit upsetting that people think that they have to do this to themselves but I can't understand why its done. I wish people wouldnt feel the need to do it but seen as there are people out there that do... why?? :/

It's hard to explain and different for everyone. I've self-harmed and personally, it was my outlet. I would get so depressed and angry at the world, I would have to take it out on something and I felt like I deserved the pain.
I think that's how it is for most people. But you're right, Com, it is upsetting and people don't have to do it. It's just hard to realize that when depression has you in it's evil little hands.

Hey there Catalyst well I have been really down at times too and when I was younger I did'nt really show an interest to anyone else or what their problems were but now I like to see behind peoples image to what they are really like, and as far as self harming goes its always confused me because everyone has a pluss side to them so its nice to find the people that are willing to share their problems to help fix them :D rather than resorting to harming themselves :/
