Let me explain the title. I am a T.A. ( Teachers aide, for those of you who do not know what the abbreviation T.A. ) in a class and when tests are given I help moderate the test. To summarize what I do during a test..., I walk around the room watch people take the test and if needed, clarify questions that are on the test.
Well, I saw some people cheating, and reported them to the teacher after the test. I felt a little bad but after all they are the ones who chose to cheat I just feel that it is not fair to everyone else who put the time into studying to get a good grade if I had let it slide/ turned a blind eye.
Would you have done the same?
Also, lets say hypothetically, that you cheated on a test and were "caught" if you found out who turned you in for cheating, would you confront that person?

I would turn cheaters in. I'm always cheated off of and I don't like it.
If I was cheating and I was caught, I would be so embarrassed that I would avoid a confrontation and pretend that nothing happened.

Same as Smeagol. Cheaters deserve to be turned in, and I would definitely just want to forget the whole thing if I was caught.

Yeah I would turn in cheaters.
If I was caught I wouldn't confront that person...he/she did the right thing, even though I wish it hadn't happened.

If I was caught cheating, I wouldn't confront the person who ratted me out, because I'm too scared.

I probably wouldn't turn someone in, and if I found out who it was that turned me in then it really depends on who it was. If they were doing it to get revenge or something then I would just leave it, but otherwise..... :zap:

Hmm it would depend on the situation, as its your job I guess you have done the right thing but I wouldnt really tell on someone cheating on a test because back at school we had a test, it was'nt a propper written GCSE but it was an online equivelant to a GCSE and the teacher acctually pointed out the question to me and a few others because it was our last attempt and looking back at it now that exam about stuff that I will probably never use in my life has given me an extra certificate that looks good when applying for a job so tbh I'm quite greatful :)
And if I got told on out of revenge then I would almost certainly confront the person that told on me but if I got caught out by a teacher I would just take it on the chin as it would be my fault for cheating :D ... If someone is having to cheat though they need more attention giving to them as to why they are having to cheat in the first place because they clearly need more help :D cheating is no way to go through life as people become dependant on finding the easy way out :D !

I would never tell on a cheater, nor would I confront the rat.
It's a lot harder to cheat now that they care about the working rather than the answer

Well, if I was a T.A., I would because its your job to become a teacher, so you have be like one. If they are in the wrong, then you need to notify someone, or take action. And if someone did turn me in for cheating, I wouldnt confront them like it was their fault, because It wasnt.

I dont snitch on anyone for anything really, none of my business.

To be honest, it's all to do with circumstances, it depends. Personally, no i wouldn't grass someone in. Taking a personal experiance, my friend's Mum's an alcoholic. She can be respectful for weeks, then go on a binge. When my friend-L-'s exam's were coming up, sod's law would have it that her Mum went on a binge. She didn't have time to study, what with looking after herself, her mum, and her little sister... as well as food, washing and the house. So i helped her cheat, i gave her some of my answers because she is a very intelligent girl, but she was just exhausted and would never of passed otherwise. -I know that she could've appealed but it wouldn't of looked good if she said 'My mum went on a binge, so i had to run the house, please give me another chance?'
Although of course this is a rare thing to occur, and it is you're job. And usually i would've said that you shouldn't cheat, but it's just my personnal opinion, because you never really know.
I suppose i would've irrationally confronted the person... but at the end of the day i'd realise that it is the right thing to do from many points of view.

In reality, no, I would not snitch on a cheater. Does that make me morally corrupt? Yeah, probably. But in the end, making enemies and getting involved in other people's business isn't something I'm interested in.

Cheatin on an official test; this isn't right and I would tell the approptiate party.
First off I would never cheat. But I do recall when I was about 9, I was doing a spelling test and I didn't write so clearly, so at the last minute I wrote over the letter "e" (because it looked more like an "a" and even though the teacher hadn't shown us the answers afterwards I was livid when somebody said I was cheating. Just saying sometimes it's best not to get involved.
I had to write random words out of the dictionary- lol how silly. In the end I did three lettered words to finish quicker ;)
Yes I would confront the person.

In the end, not having the actual knowledge your diploma/grade says that you should have is punishment enough, especially when you're in college. I'd just shut up.

If it's my job or a class where I take it very seriously, yes. For example, I'm in a technical theatre class and I am getting sick and tired of people taking it as an easy A and only passing by cheating on tests, without they would fail. The class is really all participation basically, but tests to mark what we've learned. If you really can't remember anything, which is simple, you should not be in the class.
Simply put though, there's only one class that I feel I should turn people in for cheating. Otherwise, I really don't care.

Nope, I'm not a snitch. People who cheat get good marks, get in good classes then fail those classes because they didn't get in there fairly, let them learn the hard way.

I probably wouldn't. It's not my problem, and the cheaters are only fooling themselves.

In the world, there is a very simple rule.
Snitches get stitches. There is no exception to this rule. If you tell on someone, I'd suggest to watch out, especially if you're one of those kids who can't fight for their life.

I really don't care. They can do what ever the hell they want. I sometimes though, when I notice someone cheating off me, will put down wrong answers and when they turn it in( just go over the bad answers and correct 'em) :3.

Tbh i would only rat someone out if I hated them enough. Don't feel bad you did your job. But I hate rats (not the animal) personally.

I don't agree with that and I think most people in this forum would disagree with you. I mean really, someone is willing go to prison (which is what would happen if they engaged in the activity which you are describing) because someone caught they cheated on a test. Think about it. Violence does not solve anything, it usually causes more problems.

You piss some one off in my high school, you have 5-7 guys waiting for you outside of school with pocket knifes.
You want to stay healthy? Don't go around snitching. If they want to cheat, it's their risk to take
By snitching, you are taking a risk.

As a teacher's aide, yeah, I would have done that. As a student or onlooker, never. Only because it isn't in my nature to get involved. And would be hypocritical. I would write notes on my hands for maths exams. But I'd write them in a way that anyone looking at them would think I had just doodled on my hand because they wouldn't understand how I made any sense of it. ^_^ That's also how I did African geography. I gave each country a name from Harry Potter based on the initial and I wrote the list of Harry Potter names in the order from north to south they appeared. Except that wasn't on my hand, it was on a piece of paper.
