Lately I haven't been eating much, at first I wasn't that hungry and I ate smaller and smaller meals. But now I barely eat 1 meal a day. I'm always hungry but I don't eat, but when I do eat I feel horrible. I know that I have a healthy weight for my height and age but I feel so FAT and UGLY. I don't want to develop anorexia or bulimia but every time I eat I feel fat and gross. I don't want to tell anyone this because I'm already overwhelming people with my self harm issues but I had to tell someone. Help?

I don't really think this is an ED yet, but it could definitely become one from what you described.

When you're hungry, instead of not eating, try eating something healthy maybe. I've gone through stages where I hardly eat for days, but as of lately, I've found if I have snacks that are healthy (veggies or a little bit of fruit or something), I feel better about myself. I was the same as you. I'd be so hungry but I wouldn't eat, and if I managed to eat, I'd feel awful about myself. Eating healthier stuff (fruits and veggies) as opposed to unhealthy stuff (chips, ice cream) really does a lot for one self. Fills you up faster and makes you feel a little better too. The more 'healthy' food you eat, the less you'll be hungry, the less you'll be snacking on other stuff.
If you're concerned about being 'fat and ugly' (which I guarantee you you're gorgeous<3), you could try doing some exercise or going to a gym or something. You do need to be careful to not overdue it, but something fun, an hour or two a day, max, or even just a few days a week. If going to a gym isn't you thing, try like an exercise DVD or video game or something.
If you're scared, It's really, really important to tell someone before it gets to bad. It can go from 'not so bad' to 'really bad' pretty quickly. It's really, really good that you've noticed the symptoms before it's awful, but you really gotta tell someone about it.

Good luck; always here if you need someone. <3

This is me! Although I think it was my 'friend' that led me to starve myself he was always talking behind my back about my weight which made me really self concious. Since i've got new friends i have started eating three times a day, they are not big meals, but its better than what i used to eat. Is there a reason you dont eat? Are you stressed in any way? Anyway i am here if you want to talk about things :)

OP; I have a belly that sticks out and jiggles.
Do you have that? If not, you are not fat, in fact you are the opposite.
I hope you can change your habits and learn to love how you look, even while eating... even if you decide to stick to healthy things like vegetables and fruits.

Thanks guys... I eat one "meal" a day but I do "snack", very little though and I'm not a big fan of junk food so most of the things I eat are healthy But I weigh 129 pounds :( Why am I so big and heavy?

It depends on your genetics. Your body type could be an endomorph. Those are people that have stocky frames and store body fat easily. They however have trouble losing it.

Well Blaze everyone tells me that I look thin but I don't see myself as thin. I am taller than most girls in my class so I guess that is why I feel "big". But that also makes me feel fat... :( I think this is more psychological thing genetic.

Oh come on hun, that is a very low weight! You may not think it is; but weighing 100 pounds would only look good if you're 5' or smaller.

I'm 240 pounds; but I don't feel the need to starve... because it isn't like it made me happy when I tried, I'd just be in constant pain.

You are small, that is for sure... and not eating won't make you any more beautiful, you probably just only look at your true self-image when you're starving because you're so worried. Try and realize that you're prettier now, than you would be if you were 110 pounds.

I get that... my friend is kinda going through the same thing. When you're tall it's a perspective that you can't really get rid of. Just remember that because you're tall it doesn't mean you're big weight wise. Hope I helped...

It's very much a psychological problem; you see yourself as ugly regardless of how beautiful you are; so that you can justify your methods of losing weight... I hope you can overcome that; you don't need to starve to look great.

Well the thing is I'm already talking to a counselor about my self harm problems... I don't want to make things worse by telling that I am developing an eating disorder...

Well the thing is I'm already talking to a counselor about my self harm problems... I don't want to make things worse by telling that I am developing an eating disorder... Well then... I think you know what needs to be done!

We need to help you help yourself; before the real damage starts. I do not want to see you end up lowering your weight to 90 pounds and having your organs start to deteriorate because there is no nutrition left to help your body function. :( That would be a very sad thing.

You already are at the most perfect weight, and as you said - you're tall! Many people find that very attractive, believe it or not.

You're not fat, and you never will be. Self harm is one thing, but eating disorders can ruin yours and your loved one's life, and I truly hope you can find a way to enjoy food again.

Thanks Blaze and Truth :) Just the fact that two guys are both calling me pretty makes me feel better. I had about 8 pieces of sushi and a small bowl of meso soup for dinner :) and I had breakfast today... thats a start I guess... I will try to eat more but exercise a bit more as well.

Don't do it for us, you should do it for you; because it will make you happy! It will also keep your figure looking good, instead of way too skinny. Skinny legs aren't any good haha.

I love sushi! D: It's been forever since I had some; what's your favorite type?
