How old where you when you started self-harming?

Out of interest, how old where you when you first began self-harming?

I don't really mean when you first cut or whatever, but when it first became something you did regularly.

For me it was 14.

I did for about a year when I was about 12, maybe a little younger, and I still regret it to this day...

From around 7 and on i bit myself and pulled my hair, i first cut at 11, by early 13 it was regular.

I was twelve, I stopped when I was thirteen and have been clean since... if it were not for my parents I think I still would due harming to this very day...

I cant remember when i first started badly scratching myself(i left scabs, scars and drew blood), i was in high school i think. I think it was around 14/15 maybe. My first "cut" with a razor blade was at 18. Up until then the scratching was enough for me, but then people started noticing the scars so i switched to cutting so i could do it on my hips/thighs/stomach. Worst decision of my life. Now i cant stop and it leaves more scars then then scratching did.

I'm not sure what counts as SH. I've been chewing my fingers open until they bled since I was about 8. But I just thought that it was a nervous habit.

For me I first started when I was about 17 I think, could have been younger, I can't really remember. then I stopped after a bit and I relapsed a year ago.

....... So many of you started when you were so young. I was 14/15 when I started cutting. Up until then, I just bottled it all up (which eventually became second nature to me lol)

The very first time i selfharmed i was 12, it was the 19th April 2011. It bacame regular in about January/February of this year.(I am now 13)
