Scars?

How long does it take for scars to go away? I have my graduation party in a month and my mom wants me to wear this black and silver strapless dress. I can't let my scars show. I put lotion on it daily but that doesn't seem to be helping much. Any suggestions?

It depends on the type of scar, your skin and how deep it was and other things. I have ones from half a year ago still visable and they weren't very deep.
You can try and speed the process along and try to make them fade. Try Vitamin E oil or something to that effect, it's meant to repair scar tissue and it's great for your skin. It may be that some never completely fade, like I say it all depends.

Right now i am using Cocoa butter Formula skin therapy oil(it contains vitamin E), mederma advanced and regular mederma. These are all meant to fade scars. Your scars will never go away fully, but if you start now you might be able to fade them a good bit.

Other then that, maybe get a shawl or cover up type thing to cover your shoulders. Or get a crop sweater type thing and just say your cold.

Most of my scars, even shallow ones are still visible to some degree.

What lotion do you use? bio-oil is good. can you not cover up you're scars with make-up?

I use something called Cetaphil, it's a moisturizing cream so I'm guessing its not going to work that great for scars.
