I saw a few posts where the member was banned. What gets you banned? What are my chances of being banned if I have had a post locked and commented on posts which were later locked?

Simply, if they are against the rules. Be smart, and you won't get banned.

If you break the rules you will get infractions, if you get too many, they will ban you. Just follow the rules that are set in place and nothing bad will happen. You can find the rules here. (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=rules)

Actually, you can get banned instantly, depending on the severity of the rule break.

Posting a thread which was later locked and posting in a later locked thread isn't that bad. I don't think that's against the rules, lol.

Here are the rules;

Just to note. While the infraction system is usually the first choice. If you do break any important rule and it's sever, you will be banned.

Also if your threads have been locked previously due to rule breaking chances are if you did it very often you would be infracted. As for posting in threads that have went on to be locked later unless you contributed to the thread being locked then there is no issue.

Follow the rules and you will do just fine.

Depends really, its not against the rule however it does show you haven't read the rules properly. chances are if we lock the thread it does break at least one rule.

But yeah, as the others said as long as you follow the rules and use the forum for its intended purposes you'll be fine. If you're not sure about something PM a staff member and we'll talk you through it.
