So, basically I started on cezarette a few days ago.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been on this, or any other progesterone only contraceptives, and if they've had any side effects?
Thank you :)

Cerazette Side Effects
Like all medicines, Cerazette can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Tell your doctor if you notice any unwanted Cerazette side effects, especially if severe or persistent.
Vaginal bleeding may occur at irregular intervals while using Cerazette. This may be just slight staining which may not even require a pad, or heavier bleeding, which looks rather like a scanty period. You may need to use tampons or sanitary towels. You may also not have any bleeding at all. Irregular bleeding is not a sign that Cerazette is not working. In general, you need not take any action; just continue to take Cerazette. If bleeding is heavy or prolonged you should consult your doctor.
You should consult the full list of side effects for Cerazette on the patient information leaflet provided with your treatment.
This one is a bit different:

Hi,
I came of this pill on the 2nd Feb 2012 and ive had no period or spotting at all. I started taking it 3 years ago and the whole time ive been on it I didnt have one period. I didnt experience any side effects while taking cerazette but since stopping ive had every single one! My boobs are sore, I have the skin of acne riddled teenager, Im moody all the time and very tearful. Ive come off the pill because we want to try for a baby and afer spending hours reading about other women's experiences I am so worried that my periods will never come back. One lady it took 18 months to have a period! I feel that this pill has not been researched enough and I feel like I was used as a guinee pig. Before going on this pill I was using the coil but I decided to have it removed after 3 months due to not being able to feel the strings and being on edge all the time that it had fallen out. If my doctor had informed me that it can take up to 2 years for my periods to come I would never have agreed to use this medication. I am just thankful that I am 23 and have time on my side. I certainly wouldnt want to be in my late 30s and be in this situation

Yeah i've researched on the internet, and obviously the pill has a leaflet with all that on, and i've spoken to my doctor. I was looking for personal experience.

I don't use it, however I know a lot of people who do and quite a few of my friends possibly 3 or 4 have said it gave them really bad skin.

Pretty much I think yeah, and tbh the ones who've complained never used it properly to start with, they'd stay on it for weeks and weeks until it suited them, so yeah don't do that :P

My sister was one this, it was one of the ones my GP tried her one. She was on it for about two months and the only side effect she got was an upset stomach here and there. The first week I believe she threw up but only once.
She keep complaining so my GP put her on something new, I have no idea what it is. She gets pissy because any time we get a new medication in the house I decide to research it and she hates it if I know more about what she is on than her :P

I'm on a progesterone only pill at the moment, and it made me lightheaded and gave me cramps for the first few days but I'm fine now. I found that the side effects went away in a day or too.

Thank you very much :) I've ended up having to take the morning after pill just a few days ago too due to ripped condoms so I did end up with some cramps but other than that I seem to be fine :)
