When I was 14. I worked every other saturday at my local trash company, paid under the table. I also volunteered everyday at my local community center's child care center, that led to me getting a job there. That job shaped my career choice!
As my username implies I am also a DJ, that is by hobby... even though I get paid for it, I do it for fun. If you have a little money to invest already DJ work is VERY high paying. I started off making $20/hour and now charging $85/hour. But rates are really only based off of how much equipment is owned. I'd be happy to share more if you want to hear it

Thats cool, I have a friend who used to be a DJ at the skating rink. He got paid $100 pure friday night (Cause thats when he Dj-ed). He was going to get me to be the co DJ, he said that he would get $50 and I would get $50, and he said it was cool to him. Then he asked for a raise and got fired, so there went that, lol.

I got my first job when I was 16, don't be surprised when you dont get that much money. Last summer I was working 40 hr weeks and I was making about $600 every two weeks. May I suggest babysitting? I made $100 a day babysitting for my neighbors three summers ago, a 10 yo and an 8 yo. I was there 9-2, easiest job ever. If you can find somebody that needs a babysitter, that's the absolute best job ever. Sadly my neighbors don't need one, so I'm folding clothes...

Got mine at 16 as a counselor did that for awhile now I work in IT as a Help Desk tech/sys admin.
Would say a small side job I have is giving advice to teens. I have been through a lot and have seen a lot over the sixish years of being a counselor and still get involved with organizations of that nature.

My first job was when I was 17. I went to work for a factory that made airplane parts. Kind of wasn't suppose to operate heavy machinery, so I worked in Shipping :)
Now, I've been working at Walmart since I was 18. Started in backroom doing inventory management on the SMART system, and moved forward to cashiering now.

I work in a cement works as a yard hand / shunter on odd occasions when the usual shunters / hands aren't in. Driving the trucks and forklifts, loading them, cleaning them, sorting out the waste etc. Good pay, abount £10 per hour ($14/$15?) but it's random work, they can phone me at anytime.
I prefer to stay at home and tinker with my cars, but tinkering isn't cheap these days!

I got my first job last summer! I work at a campground we go to for the summer in PEI. I work at the rec. centre doing cash, cleaning, movies, arcade etc. I'm only working in the summer because it's my last year in high school and I really don't want to work while at University.
