is anyone notice that they are always tired... I remember i used to come home from school and want to hangout with friends. It seems lately that everyone including me goes home from school sleeps and goes to practice or eats dinner, and then goes right back to sleep.

During adolescence it's recommended that you get about 9 and 1/4 hours of sleep per night, which sadly is not always, nor is it really ever, doable. If you're not getting that nightly that's probably why you're not feeling rested. Your brain and body are both developing and require extra sleep to rejuvenate, mainly your brain.

Oh true... my doctor said it had to do with how people in florida seem to have a lower iron count... but i swear he is a druggie!

Ya I'm pretty sure getting a good amount of sleep is impossible while in school.

I've noticed that with me too. I just can't stay awake anymore afterschool. School wears me out i guess

I always come home, eat then sleep then go to track practice then come home eat then watch a movie and fall asleep to it! Then during school i sleep through my entire religion class every day and sometimes in lit class and english and history. Wierdly enough I am actually a very good student

You aren't alone. Doctors shouldn't really assume you have a low iron count because you're in Florida. I'm in Florida too and I have a high iron count, I still feel like crap a lot of the time.
I downloaded an app called Sleepbot for my phone where I punch in & out whenever I go to bed, keeps track of my sleep patterns.. I maintain close to 9 hours per night (sometimes 5 other times 13..) I think it's mainly to do with exercise and keeping your day to a routine - i think your body works best like that.

Do people in FL have a low iron count? I'm from Orlando and, let's be honest, iron levels aren't my top priorities list. But yes, lately I have been extremely tired after coming home from school... it's driving me crazy!

I dont, cause I dont like sleeping during the day. My cousin did that a lot when she was in high school, but I cant sleep during the day unless Im really sleepy, or I just feel horrible.
