I take Accutane and would like to get a bit of a tan this summmer, buts it hard to because it makes you extra sensitive. I can be driving and if the is beaming on me hard, it hurts. Thats how sensitive it can be, which is why I dont want to burn. So do any of you take Accutane and can get a tan without getting sunburned????

I do not take Accutane but here is what I would do. Talk to your physician, the one who prescribed you the medication and see what they think, i was able to go off of my acne medication for a few days during the summer for different reasons. Talk to them.

I think trying to get a natural tan would be impossible. So, ask your doctor if tanning lotion would be fine.

I do not take Accutane, but you should discuss possibilities (either switching to a different medicine or tanning lotions) with your doctor. Also, sun tanning is bad for your health anyways :P

I don't know if you've ever watched a Fox TV Show On Demand, but you will see the "Accutane Recall Lawyer Number" ad at least 7 times in one episode.
Oh, and use sunscreen.

Do not try to tan while on Accutane. I honestly have no idea why your doctor would have prescribed this so close to the summer. I've been on it (likely will have to take it a second time) and you cannot tan. I took it October through April so that I wouldn't have to deal too much with having the super sensitive-to-UV skin issue.
Unfortunately, while I can understand wanting to get a tan, I'd wait until you're not taking this anymore. Accutane is a harsh medication and using tanning lotions (even with sunscreen) just opens your skin to more problems while it's already at risk to be out in the sun a lot.
I'd honestly be wearing a shirt while swimming or something else to keep your skin covered. Even in April, I got some nasty sunburns just from walking around in a t-shirt outdoors. I hated Accutane. It works but it's pretty shitty in the meantime.
