So I've been feeling a tightness in my Chest lately. On my left side, it doesn't hurt but feels strange. It kinda feels like someone tied a loop with rope and is closing the rope. It lasts for about 1-1 1/2 minutes. What could it be and why am I feeling it?

Are you having and trouble breathing and do you have any current heart problems? It sounds a lot like heartburn though since thats the only symptom you've listed. Try to ease off of caffeine and spicy foods for a few days and drink plenty of water. Eat small meals and try an antacid with it and see if it eases, if not it might mean a trip to the doctor is needed.

I had these problems a lot. I was advised to sit up straight when breathing, eat slowly and stretch regularly after 30 minutes, and I have to say that I never get heart burn anymore. I know the feeling, it's HORRIBLE! Also don't rush breaths too, breathe steadily.

At a minimum I would recommend a visit to your doctor. If at any stage it causes you breathing difficulties then a trip to the emergency department at your local hospital, by ambulance if necessary, would be appropriate.

What you describe could be related to the digestive system but you have not said anything that would rule out a heart problem and, given the risks, professional advice is in order.

There are many different reason this would happen. I would suggest you write down when it happens along with the activities you are doing at the time of the pain and also the level of pain (on a scale of 0-10 and 10 being the worst.)

but if this pain purists I would call your physician and go too the Emergency Room.

With the written information I would tai fit to your next doctors appointment because that will really be helpful to him/her.

Well it doesn't hurt at all. It just feels strange. I can't explain the feeling, but somewhat like tightness. When the pain comes, I'm just sitting or in bed.

It's hard for me to say. Because I have Cystic Fibrosis (which causes me to produce extra sticky mucous and a lot of it) so then it gets harder to breathe. It's like if I don't take my Pulmozyme and Albuterol it is hard to breathe. It's been a week since I've last taken it (been busy and lazy lol)

I advise that you get this checked out because it can be a serious repository issue.

Bud, by the looks of your profile picture I would say you are around 15 years or so old...it is YOUR responsibility to take YOUR medication, honestly, I do not care if you are busy YOU need to MAKE time for them.

If I do not take my heart medications I can stroke...I figured that out the hard way and landed myself in the Emergency Room and nearly killed myself and I am almost twenty...

YOU need to take those medications, especially since they are very vital to the condition itself. Let me know if you need anything else or have any questions.

Theres your problem, you are not taking the medication. TAKE IT !!!

Like Dimitri said, its your responsibility. Seriously how long does taking medicine take? Not long at all. Being busy is not an excuse. If you do not take the medication, the only person you are hurting is you.
