We had a science test about a month ago that I was paranoid about because I completely failed (only just got achieved by one point when I usually get excellence) and had another one today and did really bad on that one also, I think because of the first bad test I have a mental block that makes me panic in a science test and my mind goes blank. Is there a way to get over this? I don't want to fail at science, i've always been good at most things and i would probably break down if I fail.

You should try stress management/relaxation/meditation techniques. This mental block is caused by stress, so if you bring a stress ball into the test or something (with permission, of course) then it may help. Also, just think things through logically. Logic is your best friend in a situation like this, and is often underestimated.

Just make sure that you do some revision before the test. Use different learning strategies like making mind maps and setting out concrete examples. If the exam board in your country offers past exam papers, do some of them as well, even if it is just for an internal exam. When you get to exam day, make sure you are at the room in plenty of time and chill out. Just go over some of the things you might forget during the exam and run them through your head. If you have done some past exam questions, you will be familiar with the different styles of questions asked. You have no idea how much that helps. Most of all, don't panic. That's the worst thing you could do. During the exam, if you come across a question you don't know the answer to, leave it, complete the paper and then go back to it. Finishing the paper is more important than answering all the questions. If you are running out of time and are still stuck, make your best guess at it and you may pick up a mark or two. Remember if you don't answer the question, you'll get no marks for it so make an educated guess.
Keep a level head and do NOT panic and you'll be absolutely fine :):):)

Yeah I try to do that now, The first test I mentioned I didn't know about so I couldn't revise and The second test I mentioned we had first day back a school so I didn't know about that one either, we got 5-10 minutes to do some revision but I didn't know what we were revising. Bad luck to me really :P
