Ok, I love seafood, I love the health effects, but whenever I taste something really 'fishy' I gag and almost throw up. I have no idea why. Which fishes taste less 'fishy' and does anybody else have this problem?

I'm not a fan of that fishy flavour either.

Game fish like tuna, swordfish, dorado etc. don't seem to taste that fishy.

I could eat Salmon every day, but that is fishy (delicious) I think... Try Tuna, it's even a little beefy.

I get the gag thing when trying to eat catfish or tilapia or most swamp raised fish.

I don't eat much fish, but if I had to it would be tuna with some nice pasta and cheese backed under the grill.

I hate seafood, honestly. The only seafood I like is fried shrimp; besides that, I don't eat seafood.

Tilapia has no flavor so you should be okay with it, I think.

I've been eating a lot of tilapia and salmon and tuna. I hope to work up to being able to eat stronger flavours of fish.

I hate that swampy taste, too.

Tilapia, fried cod or pollock, and Tuna are some that shouldnt have a fishy taste. try those.

Avoid catfish and any kind if fish you could just go out fishing in the neighbors pond for, those tend to be the worst.

Salmon, Tuna, and albacore are fishes they aren't fishy tasting. But usually, if a fish tastes fishy, it's not fresh. That's why, if you go to a Sushi restaurant and you smell a fishy smell, you should leave. Because they're not using sushi grade fish. For a fish to be sushi grade, it has to be eaten within 3-4 days of being caught. For sashimi grade, I believe, it's supposed to be within 1-2 days of being caught. But you can find great quality and freshness for cheap, we go to a sushi restaurant that's $15 (for lunch) for all you can eat. It tastes the same as a $200 sushi dinner. But they don't use as thick of fish, but they still use a nice amount. A sushi dinner for 2 and 2 drinks, with a 20% tips is around $45!

Calamari or Tilapia if it is cooked the right away, then you wouldn't even know its fish.

Tilapia, cod, and possibly tuna would be good choices. Salmon has kind of a fishy taste to it.

I don't like seafood personally, but like they said real (not canned) tuna and sword fish aren't that fishy. And farm-raised tilapia is just nasty... especially if you know what they eat there...

Tilapia shouldn't really be fishy. It's probably not good quality or it's not that fresh. Getting frozen fish is actually a good idea, frozen tastes really good cause they freeze it right when they catch it :)

Trout, Salmon, Halibut and most shellfish as well aren't fishy.

I love most food that comes from the sea or river. Unfortunately, my mum doesn't like fish and my step dad is allergic to shellfish so I rarely get to eat it. At restaurants I get the opportunity to eat it but steak is always on the menu so it's always a fight between a fish i haven't eaten before or a steak.
I have eaten swordfish, bass, cod, salmon, tuna, haddock, squid, mussels, oysters, clams, prawns and shrimp. The only one I don't like is prawn.
