So my girlfriend of year and I are planning on having sex soon. The problem is that she is a virgin and her hymen is still in place. It hurts really bad for her when I press against it. I'm trying to make it so that sex is as painless as possible for her. Is it best to just wait til we do it and just go nice and slow and use plenty of lube? Or should we take care of breaking it before hand? If anyone has any suggestions on how to do either of these without hurting her much that would be greatly appreciated.

When I did it for the first time with my gf (she had her hymen still too) we thought about breaking the hymen with fingering first...don't it hurts worse. I ended up popping her cherry with my penis and that turned out best. I would suggest missionary with a pillow under her. Use a condom and lube. Also make sure there's plenty of foreplay...the more turned on she is and the harder you are the easier it is. When you break the hymen do it quickly. Don't try to slowly work it in cause that prolongs the pain (think taking off a bandaid). So just shove it in then don't move a muscle after you're in. She'll be in pain so let that go away and let her get used to the feeling of you inside her. After that then go slow. Make sure you listen to her to make sure she's not in too much pain. It'll be uncomfortable for her but shouldn't be painful the whole time.
