Is my friend suicidal?

I think one of my friends is suicidal. And by that I dont mean planning it, i mean that hes just fedd up of life and doesnt want to be here anymore.

You know people say, if someone is talking about suicide, no matter how much it sounds like a joke, it may be an indication that they are suicidal...

His chin was bleeding because he had a spot there, and as a joke i said if you dont stop it from bleeding he will bleed to death, he then said, he really wouldnt care if that happend.

Then that same day this boy said to him as a joke, you look like your fed up with life, my friend said, you would be correct..

I also think he may be self harming, as i self harm too, i recognise the hiding. When ever he has his arm turned to face me in lessons, he puts his arm under the table, and our PE kit is short sleeves, and whenever he is off we have PE and that makes me think hes hiding something..

What should i do guys?

If you are good friends with him, and he trusts you, then you could try to talk to him.
Just ask him how he's been doing and feeling lately, if he wants to talk about it, etc...
Don't push him though, if he doesn't want to talk, then you have other options.

He obviously is trying to hide things like you are, so I wouldn't talk to his friends about it.
If you don't/can't feel like you can talk with him, then talk to a school counselor. Just tell them that you are suspicious of his mental state, and you wanted to make sure he was OK.
They will talk to him, and he could get help from there.
