Ooooooh got the be the 757-200 (and the -300) ;)

For airline, I'm not too sure, I quite like Emirates... not part of my obsession I really thought about :P

Has to be concorde-excellent in in terms of manufacturing complexity, speed, altitude.
Looks beautiful too.

Did you know it was the first fly by wire commercial passenger aircraft all be it analogue/mechanical?

Defo Concorde. Most beautiful and elegant plane to have graced the skies.
As for airline... I dunno. I've never flown in my life so judging by the adverts, I'd say either qatar or singapore airlines

Concorde all the way, too bad I will probably never get to be a passenger on one of her supersonic transatlantic voyages. For airline either British Airways or Delta.

You gain even more appreciation for it when you see them in the hangar with parts missing, or you get to see in the cockpit in London Heathrow :D That was epic!

Both were BA

(Okay the one in the hangar was an A319 and the one at Heathrow was an A321 but they're all the same, just longer and shorter) :P

"Plane" is too broad :P

Commercial: I'll take a 757-2 or a MD-88.

Corporate: How about a Hawker 750.

Private/Props: I'd be happy with a regular old C172.

Private Helicopter: EC-135. Hands down.

Military Fighter: F-15E Strike Eagle

Military Cargo/Transport- KC-10, E-4B, C-130, C-5, or... a... C-17. All of them are kickass.

Military Helicopter: HH-60G Pave Hawk.

(yeah, i have a pretty big list.) :P

Prop: Cessna 172
Civil: Airbus A380
Military: CF-18 Hornet
Helicopter: Sisorky S-76A (love watching these things when they landed on nearby hospital rooftop helipads until they replaced them with AW139's for the Air Ambulance.

Military: SR-71 (see my username). One of mankind's greatest feats of engineering. Kelly Johnson was a genius.

Private: I've been really interested in Lancairs lately. Fast, high-flying, and useful (though impossibly expensive). There are also a bunch of other nice kitplanes on the market.

Vintage/Warbird: Tie between the P-51 and the P-38.

Commercial: I've been liking the 787 lately.

Choosing favorites is hard, though. I tend to stick to the philosophy of "it's an airplane, and is therefore cool".

It was very hard to pick one plane for me, as so many are brilliant in so many ways, yet I managed to choose if anyone saw my post :D

This is so hard. I can't make this simple enough so I'm a massive 757 series fan, love the a320, can't wait to get back on a TU154 (the russian king of flying - they are great) or an IL-86 (best widebody I think). I also love my hops in a BN-2B Islander or A cessna Caravan (or a winair DHC-6 Twin Otter - that's one holiday in Netherland Antillies I will never forget :D (SABA)) and A little Cessna 172 for a little flight over my residents whenever I get a chance.

Starting from the large airliners.

Airbus A380, the most beautiful passenger liner ever built.

Boeing 747, second most beautiful.

That moment when normal freight planes just don't cut it and you want to fly something HUGE. The Antonov 225B. One of Russia's best aircraft and the world's largest active aircraft.

My favourite is probably the E-3A sentry.
I like the Concorde, Rockwell B-1 Lancer, Lockheed Martin F-22, Dassault Rafale, Cessna 172 and the KC-135

I would mention the F-35 for its single jet engine VTOL capability, but that's the thing - it doesn't have the capability. There has only been one VTOL takeoff in the F35, that was this year and it was us Brits testing to see if we wanted them on our new super carrier class.

Personally, long distance I like smaller planes such as the 747. I find that larger planes like the A380 are prone to turbalance because they can't reach maximum height until they burn some of their fuel.

Best airline, low cost = Singapore airlines.

Ah, my favorites change the longer and more I study aircraft history. These are my current preferences based mostly on capability and looks.

Commercial: This is really tough for me. Currently I'd say 747-8F or MD-11F because they're such long and bulky aircraft that look absolutely fantastic with white liveries and no windows. For passenger-carrying I'd have to go for A340-600 for being just about the only airliner I've ever seen that seems something other than diamond in planform. (wingtips to nose/tail)

Corporate: Not great with corporate but I particularly like the Gulfstream jets with the high-chord wings.

Private/Props: Grob G109 Vigilant hands down. The aircraft I'm learning to fly on, although she's squirrely, hard to trim, fragile and complicated, she's my plane. And there's something exhilarating about being 900ft AMSL about 400ft from cliffs, going 120 knots at cruise power in a motor glider. I mean come on, it's a speed demon of a glider.

Private Helicopter: I'll go with the EC-135 because dat sound. Fenestrons ftw.

Fast Jet: EF-111A Raven/FB-111 (F-111G). So many elevens. Oh, and possibly the most impressive mission suites for size of all time, so many pieces of equipment in that cockpit. The EF-111 crews had a job that was the envy of no-one; lighting themselves up on enemy radars then directing ECM at said radars. If it didn't kill the thing it would paint a perfect track for a missile to fly down. And they were unarmed! The capability of the strategic bomber version, the F-111G, is also astonishing; the ability to enter a theatre at low level, down to even 200 feet hard ride, fire-and-forget HARMs at any ground that threatened them, deploy nuclear weapons and turn tail and run. So much respect for 111 crew and the amount of knowledge involved in flying something so complex.

Military multi-engine: The KC-10 Extender, continuing my thing for trijets, is just damned sexy in STRATCOM grey. Lovely. And the KC-135 for incredible service record and longevity, and being the sustainer of Operation Chrome Dome which was logistically fascinating.

Military Helicopter: Mil Mi-26 Halo. It's almost the size of a 737, for god's sakes, and all that power comes off one set of rotors.

Military Props: Douglas A1D/A-1 Skyraider. Too late to serve in World War II, but if it had, look out Japan. That thing was a 1940s A-10, with almost as much carrying capacity. Difference is, while the A-10 has two turbofans, the A-1 was powered by a good ol' humble rotary engine. Okay, not really humble. And the P-51/P-47 have to get an honorable mention for their sound. Turbosuperchargers+doppler effect+engine roar = OH YES.

Airline: United. Jet black 777s really are the most amazing looking airliners in the world. Wish they'd do an A346.

In case it wasn't obvious, I'm obsessed with aviation. And an avid planespotter.

Commercial - AirBus A380

Corporate - Gulfstream G650

Private (Prop) - Cessna Caravan Amphibian (I'd love to be able to takeoff / land in the water)

Private Helicopter: EC-135

Military Fighter: Ugh, so many. F/A-22 Raptor, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, A-10 Warthog, B-2 Spirit .. So many more I could list but I'll leave it there.

Military Cargo/Transport- KC-10, E-4B, C-5, C-130, C-17 .. Again, so many more I could name but I'll stop there.

Military Helicopter: AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook, Boeing V 22 Osprey, Mi-28N Havoc

Have to go with the tank bustin hog of an A-10 (given its what I aspire to fly in the military), if only for its incredible gatling gun. Nothing quite like it in the sky and I have trouble imagining the beast that would make it obsolete.
