No, it is only done in the UK for medical reasons. However, the Jewish and Muslim communities, still practice the procedure, so I would say its 50/50 here

Majority of the time in the UK its only done for medical reasons.

Sometimes the parents may wish to have it done to there child after birth but again its really only done for medical purposes or when the boy is older and he himself want's it done.

So generally no. It's not.

However if you came to the UK chances are no one would find you being circumcised abnormal or weird especially since most people know its popular in the USA.
