Now I thought Britain's economy was "very fragile."

Then out of the blue, comes £10 billion to give to the International Monetary Fund, our little present to help bail out Greece.

How long do you think it will be until we get a return on this "loan" to the IMF??

Should we be doing this??

I'm not British, but this is a problem with a lot of governments. It's to make the economy seem stronger than it is, thus improving their credibility. America's done it, France has done it, the former Soviet Union has done it... it's not smart, but if people don't learn from others' mistakes then they have to learn from their own.
No, it's not smart at all. This money could be used for education or something else useful.
