Hi, I'm Ravenesque, I'm 13 and I don't know if I've had my first period yet.
I have armpit hair ect (we all know where the other hair is so I won't go into details), and my boobs are growing, but I don't actually kno if I've had my first period yet. People talk about some weird residue in your underwear a few months or a year or so before your first period and I've had this weird yellow residue for a while now.
Can someone help me plz?

No you haven't had your period, if there isn't any blood then no worries.
Every girl gets their period at different stages in her life from 9-17 so I wouldn't worry that you haven't got it yet. If you want to be prepared just buy some pads and keep them in your bag with you so if it does start you'll always have something with you.

You're only 13, please don't worry about it. Even 13 is quite early to get it I wouldn't go to the doctors there really is no need. I wouldn't start worrying until you're 16/17, maybe then there might be a problem but at your age no, you're absolutely fine.

I know what it's like to hate a doctor, but don't hate all of them just because you may have had a bad one. It really does sound like you should see somebody, so make a call, or have your mom do it.

Why? There is honestly no need for it. I know 15-16 year olds that haven't started yet and it's completely normal. Im underweight and things have been fine for me. I wouldn't panic yourself because you're normal.

Not because she hasn't started yet, just because everyone should get checked out every once in a while.

You shouldn't worry much, you should obviously go for checkups every few months, but no real need to go to the hospital just for this, I was quite thin for my age when I had my first period nd I had it when i was 14, so don't worry, you might just be late to mature ect.

No, you haven't had your first period yet. But don't worry about it - I didn't get mine until I was 15 (some people can be even later). If you're concerned try asking your mother when she first got her's it might give you an idea as to when yours might come.
The yellow residue you mentioned sounds like discharge and it's perfectly natural. Discharge is a fluid your vagina creates to keep your vagina moist and free from infections. It can be clear, white or off-white and it's texture can vary. It also changes depending on where you are in your cycle.
Your period is when the blood and tissue that has been stored in your vagina (in preparation for a baby) is released. The menstrual cycle is 28 days long on average but everybody's different - it can be as short as 21 or as long as 35. People usually bleed for 4-7 days but, again, everybody's different.
Once you've had you periods for a while you should find out what's normal for you (how long your cycle is, how heavy your period and what your discharge is like throughout your cycle). Keeping tabs on these things lets you know if there's any changes - it's important in making sure your healthy down there.
Don't worry about it too much or you'll just stress your self out. If you want any more information go to the thread called "Girl's Guide to Puberty" by Derkhead - it's on the first page of this forum.
Hope this helped, I know how scary getting your first period can be.

You will definitely know when you actually get your period. It will stain your underwear... awkward. Plus, when I first got it, I was doubled over in pain.

So as pretty much everyone has said you don't need to worry it's perfectly normal to not have started your period by 13. One of my friends started at 16. I wouldn't wish it on yourself too soon its rather inconvenient :P
Tell your mum your concerns though by all means and as suggested above ask when she started hers, she might be able to give you some advice.
I wouldn't think about going to the doctors about it until it's really late say when you're 17. However you've mentioned you're underweight this probably holds no influence on the fact you haven't started but if you're considerably underweight that in itself might be worth getting checked out.
