And I don't mean "ways to SHOW them," I mean.. things you can do to make the first time you say the words even more special.

Like writing it on cupcakes for them.. or something.. but the more unique and fantastic the ideas, the more appreciation and kudos you get! ^__^

I was at this girl's house because her parents wanted me to eat dinner with them. I excused myself to go to the bathroom but instead i went into her room. i woke up her computer and pulled up word and wrote "I LOVE YOU -Elijah"....the next day was a saturday. I walked to the tennis courts to practice and she was wating for me and huged me hard...i think i did good hahaha

Well, if you want to be funny you could write it on a sign and tape it to your back, that would get her to laugh and also strike her as kind of sweet.

Learn how to say it in a new language
Spanish: "te amo bonita" (I love you beautiful)
German: "ich liebe dich"(I love you)

There's making it funny, there's making it sweet, and there's making it both.

Personally, I think both the computer and the sign on back ones are cute, and if they him/her laugh, then you've probably done a good job. You could be up-front about it, but then it could be awkward. You could be passive about it, such as saying it casually as a goodbye, which would likely be less awkward, or you could be cute about it, like the examples above, which will easily get the best reaction.

I don't really agree with the foreign language idea, unless she speaks that language, otherwise she won't know what it means, and you'll have to explain it to her, making it awkward. I'm not going to give you an idea, because I believe the best things to say always come from your own heart.

Good luck.

I say it in arabic to my girlfriend. She likes that language so I guess it makes her happy when i do it.

It's, 'Bhebek' to a female and 'Bhebak' to a male.

Simple.
3 roses on a place that she frequently goes to (ie: Her locker or her desk). 3 roses commonly stand for 'I love you'. Feel free to add a note. If you want to go all the way, leave the note telling her to meet you someplace that she'll like, and then express your love for her in PERSON. Nothing is sexier than a guy with guts.

Why do you need a special way? :/

I never really understood that. That and the people who go out of their way for a marriage proposal. I think simple is best. Thoughtful and memorable, but simple.

The first time I said it to my girlfriend, we were watching a film and we fell asleep curled up together. I woke up at 1:00am or so and whispered it in her ear after a while when she stirred. Still one of my favourite memories.

KEEPING it special is what you should focus on. I try not to say it but show it and then when the time is really right, it means so much more.
