I like Somebody that I Used to Know a lot. It seems very fitting to my situation, not because I've broken up with anybody recently, but it's like I've broken up with any and all acquaintances too and I am isolated and cut off.

Not to sound like a hipster, but with all the popular music I like, I seem to first hear it all way before it gets/peaks in popularity. It always seems to happen like that. :/ I find them somewhere between a month and a year before they get huge recognition. And a local radio station I like was playing this song months before the Top 40 stations were. Well into 2011.

I'll shrug off my annoyance once here only because it makes me happy people are liking indie music, a song with a thoughtful music video that isn't flashy garbage. We need the fame where it's deserved, and not in this huge leeching entertainment business.

His vocals are boring, nothing special. Hate the girl. The arrangement, I have to say, is pretty cool though.

Forgive me though, my taste in vocalists requires them to have less than common voices. It's why I don't watch American Idol because that show drives me crazy with the bland shit they let through to the next round. Having a good voice doesn't interest me because it seems everyone has a good voice nowadays, it isn't enough.

I said I HATE American Idol, because they need to be deemed "good" by judges who have one idea of a good singer, and they all sound the fucking same, "good" voice that has no originality. Everyone can sing these days, that's not interesting, it's not enough. They need to be unique.
