Ok, so I just got up off my bed to go eat dinner and when I got up and had my back bent I felt pain in my ribs. I looked at it and it hurts slightly to touch the area that i think is cracked. Its seems to be cracked on the middle rib of the left side of my chest. Should I tell my mom? If i don't put pressure on it, it dosn't hurt at all if that helps.

You should tell your mom and go to the doctor. If it is cracked, then it could be serious. Please go tell your mom.
I hope you get better :)

Yeah Ribs are both easy and hard to brake, although Ive treated dozens of broken ribs. Doesn't sound you have cracked it unless you have weak bones. Could have pulled a muscle. Tell your mum, and ice it. If it doesn't improve in 72 hours, visit a doctor.

I've cracked many ribs (lifestyle = too active) It really doesn't seem that easy, but you should tell your mom and maybe your doctor.

I dont think its that easy, but I've never just fractured one [ i full out broke it when i fell off a horse..well a few actually ;) ] but i think it sounds as though you've strained/pulled a muscle xx Broken things tend to hurt ALL the time.

Good luck! Did you fall off something, or just get out of bed and it was sore? 'Cause I thought I'd fractured a rib and it was costochondritis, where the which is inflammation where the ribs join the sternum.

They really can't do anything to fix a cracked rib. They'll give you pain meds and thats about it.

Yep, not much to really be done about it. Wrap it up for a while and see how that feels. I cracked a rib from coughing violently when I had pneumonia, which sucked, and then the cracked rib just made everything worse. All they did was wrap me up, I didn't take any pain meds (for various reasons), but I did take Advil to help with pain/inflammation.

These are the two best pieces of advice that I can give you and they are not mine....
I wish the OP would come back and tell us how things are going...
