hi i have stretchmarks on alot of places including my back , near my hips/ upper thigh and my knees , and some on my lower stomach does this mean i have stopped growing>? im 17 this month and am only 5 ft 6/7 , which is pretty small compared to most other people.

They are cause by rapid weight gain, rapid weight loss or when your body is growing taller.

Well that didn't really answer the question! lol :P

But yeah, they are caused by rapid weight gain and rapid growth during puberty. You can get rid of them, just look it up on Wikipedia because it tells of the ways to make them less visible.

You're 17 right now anyway. You're probably gonna grow some more, but you'll most likely stay around that height. Stretch marks probably aren't gonna stop you from growing any more anyways

well i hope i grow more i, im really skinny aswell, i dnt think i have put any weight on , i weight just about 8st

well you'll be able to gain more weight, just lift weights and excercise! That's what I do and I'm pretty skinny also. Being skinny means that it's easier to get abs! :P

yea its probably just from rapid hight growth in your case, for my i have them from being fat so you should feel good that they arnt caused by weight

i think that you should eat a little more or see a doc
do you eat alot?
is something bothering you?

Yeah, you should definitly consider seeing a doctor. It may be something serious, but it may just be from growing. Professionals will be able to help.

it couldve been from gaining weight or losing it as said above but also lifting alot of weight when working out could leave stretch marks too.
