Who is better between these three:

Jared Leto - 30 Seconds to Mars (look up Kings and Queens, The Kill, Beautiful Lie)
Micheal Barnes - RED (look up Already Over, Let Go, Feed the Machine)
Chester Bennington - Linkin Park (look up In the End, Bleed it Out, One Step Closer)

Also put a list of your favorite singers below!

I think they're the three best rock vocalists ever. Especially Mike Barnes.

Mike Barnes is a really underrated singer though. He's good.

I don't put any of them on my "best vocalist" list.

Here's mine:

Casey Crescenzo (The Dear Hunter, The Receiving End of Sirens): What It Means To Be Alone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztt1svz0hd0)
Casey has such a soulful voice, it fits his music perfectly. It's has a crisp clear sound, but he also knows how to give it a dark and screaming sound. And no, not like screamo screaming.

Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails): Getting Smaller (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcmhd7srRl8)
Trent puts his all into his singing. You can hear the pain in his songs through his voice. He's also an amazing composer. He composed the score for The Social Network and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Geddy Lee (Rush): Marathon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Kiz5jyG5j4)
Let's be fucking honest here, hardcore Rush fan or not, you probably love Geddy Lee's voice. If not, then good for you. I love it and am jealous of his range.

Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy, Solo): Calm Before The Storm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHnWmn6VXao)
Patrick Stump has moved on from Fall Out Boy and started his own solo career. He went from a pop punk band to a pop solo project. It's also pretty good, to me at least. Here's his song Allie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGETs-Kt5Es). All instrument parts were also recorded by him.

Tim McIlrath (Rise Against, The Killing Tree): Rumors of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHac5quiAws)
Tim has an incredibly powerful voice. He's able to produce a nice cleaner sound and a dirty dirty scream. It's incredible to me. This is him playing Everchanging (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTWJGmiPiXQ) an acoustic song. Keep in mind this is a live recording, with no editing to fix his voice. I'm so glad I can see Rise Against in less than a month.

Rody Walker (Protest the Hero): Sex Tapes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Quv-Y5um4Ic)
Rody might not be the best singer live, but in a recording studio he can sing wonderfully. I doubt it's all editing that makes him sound that great. I could very well be wrong, but I'd like to think I'm not. I just love his voice, simply put.

Honorable Mentions: James LaBrie (Dream Theater (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y25JO-WJTYA)), Matt Bellamy (Muse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w09y-W9Erlc)), Brendon Urie (Panic! At the Disco (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJl-b2ij2yM)), Bruno Mars, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW3Y_YvP_jw)), Jeremy McKinnon (A Day to Remember (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1790Ie895cY))

I know people will probably question some of my choices, but it's only who I think.

HIGHLY agree with this one. Casey also has a very versatile voice. He did almost all of the "screamed" vocals with TREOS as wel as his normal sung vocals. Between The Heart And The Synapse is one of my all time favorite albums and the vocal play between Casey, Brendan, and Alex was a huge part of it. When Casey left to form The Dear Hunter it was bittersweet. The Earth Sings Fi-Ma-Fi is a great album but it's just not the same with just Brendan and Alex singing....Glad Casey did eventually rejoin TREOS, tho. Additionally..notice my sig., man :-p

I like singers who are versatile. There's millions of people who have beautiful voices but I want a singer who can do many things with that voice. Mike Patton, for example. Has an amazing singing voice. But at the same time can do death growls, screams, opera, etc.

Andrew "Darroh" Sudderth - Fair To Midland...This generation's Mike Patton(although Patton is still very active in numerous bands and is a voice actor for movies/videogames)) Guy can hit amazingly high notes and then lower the boom with a growl here and there. He has somewhat of a "shaky" voice but I think it's on purpose and I love it.

Tommy Rogers - Between The Buried And Me...Yes, he screams and growls 90% of the time, but he's one of the best at that...However, on one album alone he perfectly covered Chris Cornell, Freddie Mercury, Mike Patton, Billy Corgan, and David Gilmore/Roger Waters among others. It's quite amazing.

Dustin Kensrue - Thrice...Very soulful voice...but man can he bust out the heavy when he wants to. Started as somewhat an punk/emo/screamer and transitioned into somewhat of a blues singer. Very awesome.

Morgan Lander - Kittie...Probably a better voice than almost all other female pop artists and get get just as heavy as all her male counterparts.

Alissa White-Gluz - The Agonist...She became more well known after she made an appearence as the vocal coach for the girl who wanted to be a metal singer on MTV's "Made." However, she is trained in classical and opera and developed a love for metal...now she has some of the most brutal vocals I've heard from anyone male or female and then she has one of the most amazing singing voices. She would easily blow away any famous pop singer if you guaged sheer talent. She's also ridiculously gorgeous...but that's not the point of this..lol.

I know I'm forgetting some. Ugh.

Ugh. Between those three, the Linkin Park dude. They're all annoying.

However, if we're bring other mentioned singers in, my vote goes to the Trent Reznor mention.

I like a lot of vocalists that many other people might not like but I like because of what they BRING to the music. Not necessarily that they're good vocalists. For instance, Amanda Palmer, Emilie Autumn, Marilyn Manson, none of them are exactly Celine Dion, but what they bring to their sound is what I like. I'd rather someone with imperfect vocals be singing in the song than someone who sounds like every other fucking singer on the planet. I say Trent because he actually has a great voice as well as bringing all that to the music. And of course, his vocals aren't run of the mill so it's easy for me to "swallow."

Well, i love LP, so i'm not really subjective.Tho i like their older songs, new ones just ain't my thing. But still, Chester with his scream...damn.And i like their lyrics :)

Anyway, i listen to lots of different music.I like EA too, and her voice, obviously. Some of others are, Lacey from Flyleaf, Aimee Echo from The Start, Alissa White-Gluz from The Agonist, Maria Brink - In This Moment, Eivør Pálsdóttir, Jonsu - Indica, and Candice Clot - Eths. There are lots more, but this is few of my fav. that i listen to for a long time.

But well, just cause you or i don't like some, doesn't mean they don't have a good voice :).For me, at least, each one of above is good in their own way.And even tho i don't listen to Arch Enemy, i must say i admire Angela's voice.

Freddie Mercury was good, i saw some videos of him singing, on YT.His voice was really impressive.
