using an expired condom

I've found an expired condom in my basement where my brother used to hang out. I'm not using it to have sex, just masturbate.. I'll post my findings..

What do you think will happen?

Nothing, the expiration on the condom is most likely when the lube is not as moist or when the latex (or other material) is passed the date that it is tested to be effective to. So in retrospect it is just to be on the safe side to not use an expired condom for sex.

I've used an expired condom for wanking. It was so weak that it broke after a while of stroking. Just warning you to be ready if that happened.

There shouldn't be any problem. The expiration date on condoms is just for the 'safe' time period in which its at its strongest and is less likely to break during sex, using it for masturbation is fine. Initially I thought that you meant expired as 'used' so that would have been pretty disgusting :)

The expiration date, as Giles said, is for the rubber and lube. After sitting there, the rubber gets a little weaker and could break more easily.

The condom will most likely serve its purpose well, as long as it isn't being used during intercourse. Sex isn't something to mess around with.
