Hi. When I wake up or dont talk for a while or talk quietly my voice is rough and way more likley to crack/break. So is there any reason this is happening? And could you explain a bit? Thanks.

Can't really help ya there. The most I can say is that it happens to me sometimes. Not usually when I wake up, but when im tired my voice is raspy, and then i end up losing my voice haha its the most annoying thing

I don't know how old you are, but honestly it's most likely just because your voice is changing, I'm 17 and my voice cracks alllllll the time haha

You know how you instinctively know where you hands are even without looking at them? This is because you brain has a map of your body and "knows" how long each limb is etc.
It is the same with your voice - for a given volume and pitch your brain knows exactly how much tension to put on your vocal chords with each of the muscles concerned and how much air pressure is needed from your lungs.
When your larynx and vocal chords are growing fast this map in your brain for your voice can become out of date so your voice doesn't do what you expect it to do. In time your brain will catch up and the cracks and squeaks will stop.
So why is it more noticeable first thing in the morning. At that time the muscles are more relaxed, less toned and less effective meaning they require more nervous stimulation to get a given level of tension, and your vocal chords can also have more fluid inside than normal which increases their mass meaning more tension is required for a given pitch (or given a certain amount of tension the pitch will be lower). This just adds to the effect where what your voice actually does is out of step with what your brain is trying to do with it.
