This is a rant

I have schizophreniform. It causes me to see and hear things that arent there, im stuck with the voices cuz my meds dont work half the time, ive only told my closest friends when they found out i hear voices they all said the same thing. They told me to not listen to the voices, its starting to piss me off a bit the answers not that simple, its hard to not listen to them becuz if i dont listen then i get put through mental hell and i have to do what they say i just have to idky or how i have to do it even if i dont want to cuz if i listen they go away and thats what i want. When my friends said to not listen ik that they dont understand and i just really want someone who knows what im going through cuz im tired of feeling so alone and scared about whats happening to me idk what my future would be like thats if i dont kill myself first. I guess im just fraustrated and confused. I just wanted to vent a little. If you read the whole thing thank you i appreaciate it.

You M'dear need a hug. First off, I think that your friends are really trying to help, but don't understand At ALL. I cannot say I completely understand your situation because I'm not schizophrenic, however, I am all too used to the "Just STOP" saying. It makes me want to violently shake them. There are people out there just like you, and I strongly suggest telling your doctor that your meds are not working and that you need a higher dose, or a diferent medicine. Thank you, i already told my psychiatrist it doesnt work hes going to raise the dose, ik that my friends are trying to help its just that they dont understand and i just wish they did.

I don't have schizophreniform, but I'm diagnosed Psychotic Depression, and on antipsychotics too. I think mine took about a few months to start kicking in, though...

I can definitely understand your friends trying to help, but not understanding. If you're going into a psychotic episode, I would try to avoid being around friends, because I think they could make things worse with the psychosis. Also, if you can, talk to your psychiatrist about it. There are other things you can do that help you get through those episodes than juts meds, CBT is really helpful for example, and it's really good for people with psychotic disorders.

I would tell a parent if you cant tell them then a school nurse or trusted adult.
