Has anybody seen any amazing TAS speedruns? For those who don't know, the definition of Tool Assisted Speedrun is as follows:

A tool-assisted speedrun (abbreviated TAS) is a speedrun movie or performance of a video game produced by means of emulation and using features unavailable to regular players, such as slow motion or frame-by-frame advance of the gameplay, and re-recording of previous portions of a performance.

Some people (such as the one I am going to use as an example) say they were disappointed when they realized it wasn't "real". Now really, let's ponder this for a moment. Just because it is "tool assisted" doesn't mean it's not "real". This can take HOURS or even DAYS to get perfect. Just because it is Tool Assisted it doesn't mean it requires no level of human skill. It is ridiculously hard to do, which is why it irks me when I see people doubting the legitimacy of it. Sure, the person didn't play it, but a lot of thought and consideration of that person made it pan out.

Here is one for people who have never seen one before:

What are your thoughts? Are these TAS' "legit"?

Well... as long as it is labeled as TAS, but if its passed off as regular gaming, I don't think it's fair.
