Hello, I am Chris I am in Hawaii for spring break and two days ago I sunburn my arms pretty bad. It really hurts, but for pain relief I have been using a Aloe Vera, Rubbing alcohol, and water mixture, as well as sticking my torso in the fridge. It still hurts. A lot. And doesn't seem to be going away, like it usually does for my body. Please help!

Nothing much else you can do. Just keep your skin moisturised and drink more water than usual. Also forget about the rubbing alcohol.

The pain will last about a week or so depending on the severity of the burn and your skin type.

You can take pain relievers too. And keep it cool and moist. Alcohol will dry your skin out and make it harder to heal.

Yeah the rubbing alcohol is only going to make you more uncomfortable. Get rid of it. I would suggest you wet a towel, wrap it around the burn. This is the most effective treatment for pain relief. be careful not to put alot of creams/lotions/potions on the burn, as it may do more damage and affect the healing process.
