Your penis gets erect when blood flows into your penis because of stimulation or arousal, so the more stimulated/aroused you are, the more blood is going to go to your penis and it may seem slightly larger. It's probably not going to add on anything more than maybe 1cm or something though.

Yes, guys this is what he means. Not asking what an erection is. It is completely normal. I have also experienced this. Usually they only happen to me when I am REALLY turned on. I then can notice my dick is a little bigger then normal, but nothing drastic like an 1 inch, but by a somewhat noticeable change, like in the head, lenght and girth size.

^agreed 100%. He means a longer than usual erection. Don't be so quick to call him out because you misunderstood him. Yes, it is quite possible that due to the level of arousal, your erection could be longer, harder, and more sensitive than usual.
