Any mod/skiv/rockers out there?

My friends and i created a skiv rock band, but my friend said that skiv as well as mod rocker and punk have died. Please tell me this isn't true.

I usually tape record me using a jack hammer on some rocks, play it through a speaker, drop that speaker, record how the dropped speaker sounds like and call my self Drillex.

Mod and skiv are ok, much better than the pop crap we have today but also not my favorite.
