How long until name changes?

It's 180 days because it can get wildly confusing and annoying if members are changing their names every other week.

You change it under user cp and you could but you'd have to have a legit excuse.

Im pretty sure it comes up here (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/profile.php?do=editpassword) if you have reached 180 days, then it will give you the option to change it.

Usually Admins will let you change it if.
1. It has minor spelling mistakes
2. It has personal information
3. Its rude or inappropriate
4. If you really really want it changed for some important reason (on individual terms)

Other than that your really stuck. with it for 180 days.

Six months is over before you know it. You change it in Feb, and you'll be allowed to change it again at the end of the six months which would be in August.

As StoppingTime said it's most likely because it's annoying and confuses everyone. But I'm sure if you had a good reason you could talk an admin into letting you change it.
