i don't think this is the right place to post this but i need help. In the past two years i started getting really bad anxiety attacks, so i went to the doctors and got some help. Lately i've been getting them bad and getting randomly depressed and i didn't know why. They'd get so bad that i couldn't eat and i couldn't stop crying. I thought it will probably go away within a few days but it didn't. I decided to look up things to see whats wrong. I started reading something and realized what was wrong. I have Autophobia (Fear of being alone or of oneself.) I started to think about it and i realized, i would get like that whenever i was alone. I read some symptoms and i have almost all of them.
I just wanna know if theres anyone else with this phobia and how they deal with it. I'm also confused why i never knew i had this until now?

You have a phobia? Well don't worry!

Firstly, talking with someone always helps. Since you're afraid of being alone, try to have someone, like a friend or family member go with you to places. Phobias are hard to overcome and talking to a counselor is the best way for guidance. You can also take steps, such as writing in a diary about your feelings!

Here's a 14 step guide to overcoming a phobia: it's not in one day tho :P

Google "Overcoming Phobias" too, as this all can help you and you can pick which one works for you! :)

It's a pretty common phobia. As far as why you don't know, it could of developed or it wasn't inflamed so much as it is now while you're a teen.

i can't really talk to my family becuase they'll think i'm making it up since i've been hiding it from them. i guess i could talk to my friends but i don't think they'll understand what Autophobia is and why i suddley have it becuase i haven't told them how i was feeling. i don't really know how to bring it up and what to say?
i would really like to talk to a consulor but i can't afford one.
thanks for the links i think i'll try them. i'm home alone right now and i'm trying really hard not to cry and worry but it's not really working.

Well you can always talk to online friends! And if you're friends are actually friends, they'll help you. Just explain it to them and your family...your doubt in them doesn't even give you a chance.
