And give a reason as to why it's your favourite.

My favourite branch is often considered 'anti-philosophy' due to its complete pointlessness, but I can't help find find an interest in it although there isn't a great deal to be interested in. If you haven't guessed already it's nihilism. Existential nihilism to be more precise; which states that life is ultimately meaningless due the lack of any universal, objective or intrinsic value in this world. It makes a great deal of sense, but I tend not to associate myself with it as the more light-hearted philosophy of existentialism which somewhat makes me believe life isn't a complete downward spiral.

Anyway, if you have one what's yours? :ghost:

Politics. Philosophy of Power i think the branch is.

Out of the 5 right?

If it's out of those it's probably Morals.

is Nihilism a branch?
Because it's simple: what's the meaning of life? Doesn't exist. Is there a Gos? Nope.

It's easy, and somewhat freeing as well: it allows for a kind of nonchalance about the world.

Ethics. When it comes down to it, the only one of the major branches of pure philosophy that really has any impact on humanity and humanism, in my opinion.

Metaphysics. While the other kinds are fun to discuss, nothing quite comes close to the mass of questions, a ridiculous lack of proof to go on, nor the mind-blowing possible implications of each theory.
By far my favorite.

Hmmm, Ethics.
Very good discussions involving this branch of philosophy, also I bash it (lol).

Couldn't give you a definite answer, by some it's considered one and others it isn't as it doesn't exactly meet 'philosophical standards'.

Anyway, it fascinates me for some unknown reason.
