My favourite branch is often considered 'anti-philosophy' due to its complete pointlessness, but I can't help find find an interest in it although there isn't a great deal to be interested in. If you haven't guessed already it's nihilism. Existential nihilism to be more precise; which states that life is ultimately meaningless due the lack of any universal, objective or intrinsic value in this world. It makes a great deal of sense, but I tend not to associate myself with it as the more light-hearted philosophy of existentialism which somewhat makes me believe life isn't a complete downward spiral.
