At first I was torn between the two well-known and advertised brands; Canon and Nikon- ended up getting a T1i. Did a little bit of research and brought Pentax K-x soon after, Canon got returned.

I have a Pentax K-r I love it, so much easier to use and much better pictures than a canon or nikon of the same price :)

I'm on an old Rebelly poo but with the agency I work with supplies me with a 5D Mk II, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 IS 2.8, assortment of primes (love the 135 f2 and 85 f1.8 best :D) and a 580EX II.
I'll be straight up and say you shouldn't let your equipment affect your creative potential. I've had a few photographs featured on the front page of smaller newspapers and on council boards in my home country taken straight off my XSi + 18-55 shitlens.

Haha nice! I'm looking towards getting a Canon AE1 or Nikon F3/F4 just for the hell of it.. try out some ansel adams shit. Event work is starting to die out but I've currently got a few web projects. Photography has to be one of the most time consuming & expensive hobbies out there, thank god I get to make pretty good money out of it.

I have the Canon 5DMKIII. I bought it at a liquidation sale so it was relatively cheaper then usual.
Bro, MK3 have been delayed so much there just aren't any stocks around to be liquidated.

Damn dude! Those lenses are beasts. Even though 24-70 II and 16-35 outperform them I don't think you can really attach a monetary value to them anymore :P

I agree. They're great to use but technically they're not mine. If only I had the money to buy them, imagine the things I could do. They're very good for sports because they're so fast and also USM.
